Profiles in cowardice…

Mr. Tenet, you cannot undo what has been done. It is doubly sad that you seem still to lack an adequate appreciation of the enormous amount of death and carnage you have facilitated. If reflection on these matters serves to prick your conscience we encourage you to donate at least half of the royalties from your book sales to the veterans and their families, who have paid and are paying the price for your failure to speak up when you could have made a difference. That would be the decent and honorable thing to do.

Way to grow a spine… after the fact.  I hope that Medal of Freedom isn’t weighing you down too much.

He was with that Great Hero of the Left, who Spoke Truth to Power, Ambassador Joseph C Wilson IV, who boldly went public to tell us that he found no evidence that Iraq was trying to purchase uranium from Niger — 3½ months after the invasion (his mission to Niger was 13 months before the invasion), when our failure to find WMD in Iraq “proved” his statements.

Anyone can be a prophet after the fact.

Similar to Edwards, Hillary, Kerry and all the rest waxing indignant about a war they supported and voted for, and five years later can’t offer any plans that might help the Iraqi situation.

Sorry, but Tenet was a coward. If he thought the case was wrong, and didn’t speak up–in public– then there is blood on his hands.

Wilson, on the other hand, was right. And he was trashed because of it. And his NOC wife, who was working on Iranian non-proliferation issues was outed.

This right-wing view still boggles my mind.
