I’ll admit, I was very skeptical. I remain skeptical as to whether this is an effective long-term tactic or whether this particular strategy will actually have an outcome in our favor. And I’m definitely not on board in giving Bush the credit for this. But things keep getting better, and hopefully this does mark a turning point.

I’m definitely not on board in giving Bush the credit for this.

Why not? If he gets blamed for everything negative, why not get credit for the positive. It seems to me that Bush looked at different plans for change, decided on one, and picked his man. He then has perused this course with unwavering conviction in the face of constant opposition which has employed vile methods to prevent its success.

Not get credit? If we prevail in Iraq he will go down as one of our greatest presidents.

Well, that depends on its greater impact. Even then, you guys yourselves have argued that he has mismanaged things greatly. I mean, you DO mean it when you say that, right?

You should take a look at the Wounded Warriors Project. It raises awareness for severely wounded combat U.S. combat veterans in Iraq and Afghanistan. It really puts a face on the cost of this war. Here’s a link:

    Jeff-

WWP is awesome. I posted about them a few times on our old site. Totally non-partisan, and only caring about wounded vets.

Thanks for the link. (Hint, hint, ConClubbers… follow the link and donate)

Wes, yes I mean what I said, and no I never said he mismanaged the war. That is a vast misrepresentation and is inaccurate.

Jeff, my man, shove it. Your link implies, by where it was placed’ that we are not aware of what is going on. I do not need for you to help me put a face on this. Grow up. I am also quite sure I have a very good understanding of what a catastrophic injury can do to you. People like you just piss me off, asshole! Since you assumed something about me, I will assume you have no perspective and feel only pity for those Vets. BTW, pity is a useless emotion. It is possible I misread you intent, but I doubt it.

    Andre, you are right.
