Patriots Make History With 16-0 Season

By BARRY WILNER

(AP) New England Patriots wide receiver Randy Moss (81) leaps into Russ Hochstein’s arms after scoring…

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) - With one mighty heave, Tom Brady and Randy Moss took care of the record books. Now it’s down to business for the unbeaten New England Patriots: stamping themselves as the greatest team in NFL history. The Patriots completed a perfect if somewhat joyless journey through the regular season Saturday night, finishing with a remarkable 16-0 record following a thrilling 38-35 comeback victory over the New York Giants.

“somewhat joyless”? perhaps if you are from east Jersey……or anywhere else in this Nation!

Congrats to the Pats. It was amazing to watch history being made in several different ways. If I may freely borrow a word that Mr. Gumble kept saying throughout the game, this was ‘huge’.

What a comeback, and what a season.

As usual watching the Pats reminded me of how much I want Moss back with my Vikings. “EEEEWWWWW!!! He smoked pot and likes the ladies! Trade him to the Raiders!”

    Idiots.

Yeah, they can be beat, just like teh 1972 Dolphins could have been beaten — but nobody on the schedule managed to do it.

But imagine what a comedown it will be if the Patriots don’t win the Super Bowl.

And Eli Manning finally looked like he was Archie’s son and Peyton’s brother.

Speaking from my heart and Indiana, the Patriots are going down. I look at the Patriots and the Red Sox as mascots for the left because of their location/fan base. If they win, it is somehow bad luck in this 08′ election. It does not make sense and I need to seperate politics and sports unlike ESPN or Keith O. I know it is wrong and I’m not being rational.
