Rev. Wright cashes in on the American dream he despises
There is nothing worse than the self-annointed saviors of the various leftist ideologies tell the masses one thing while living the opposite. We were treated to such hypocrisy last year when it was revealed that Al Gore’s mansion consumed as much energy in a month as the homes of average Americans in a year. But at least Gore retro-fitted his home with enough solar energy to make the compound self-sufficient. I wonder how Jeremiah Wright can retro-fit his hypocrisy?
The concept of practicing what you preach is apparently lost on Wright.
After decades of lecturing blacks to remain loyal to the black ghetto and eschew the white suburbs, he’s now building a 10,340-square-foot mansion in the white suburbs. Among its amenities: an elevator, a rubberized exercise room and room for a future theater and indoor swimming pool.
Wright has made a lucrative career of convincing other blacks they can’t succeed on their own. For decades, he’s collected their alms in exchange for a steady diet of bitterness and resentment.
Shouting “God damn America” for its treatment of blacks, Wright got his parishioners hooked on misplaced anger in the South Side so he could cash out in Tinley Park.
Perhaps this is “sharing in the prosperity,” as Obama has so eloquently rephrased redistribution of income. Funny how those who demand economic parity end up taking the biggest share.
Somehow I doubt we will see Wright retro-fitting Tinley Park with his South Side bretheren. I also doubt that the Marxist rhetoric of Black Liberation Theology still applies when you reach the gated community or the #1 tee box at the country club. Convenient.
I am just your humble messenger
I just read the papers, please don’t blame me as I am just your humble messenger.
Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter. — Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Somehow that quote seems fitting these days.
Hey everyone Jeremiah Wright acknowledged that he offended people.“Had the reverend not retired and had he not acknowledged that what he had said had deeply offended people and were inappropriate and mischaracterized what I believe is the greatness of this country, for all its flaws, then I wouldn’t have felt comfortable staying there at the church,” Obama said. OOPS no he didn’t I guess. Obama spokesman Bill Burton said the senator’s remarks did not imply that Wright has expressed misgivings about his statements. “Sen. Obama was clearly saying that were Rev. Wright not retiring, he would need to be assured that the reverend understood why what he had said had deeply offended people and mischaracterized the greatness of this country,” Burton said. Burton you need to splain to this hillbilly how the senator’s remarks did not imply that the reverend did not understand. Oh wait Bill you are right he did not imply it, he just plain said it.
Your messenger guesses Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Uncle Hugo Chavez were too busy: Israel turned down an offer by Jimmy Carter and Kofi Annan to mediate a cease-fire with Hamas. Your messenger swears he did not make this up! Jimmy and Kofi are part of a new superhero diplomatic group. You know kinda of like the X Presidents from Saturday TV Funhouse. They are called The Elders of the Global Village. Man Jessie Jackson is gonna be pissed they did not pick him. He will be really bummed if they get cool superhero unis! Israel’s ambassador to the United Nations, Dan Gillerman was absent of joy-joy for the plan: “Nothing good could come out of this initiative,” he told Yediot. “Most members of the group, especially Desmond Tutu and Jimmy Carter, are people who nurse prejudices and have been shown to be hostile to Israel.” Dude lighten up! You accusing Jimmah Carter of not playing fair? Watch out or they are going to make Jeremiah Wright Jr. one of those “Elders”. Keep in mind how tight he is with the next president.
Can anybody splain this to your messenger?: “I almost wish Jerry Falwell were alive to see this. Almost,” Penn shouted to the crowd. After dropping some names of conservatives who are still with us – “Bill O’Reilly, who is too stupid to talk about,” and “Sean Hannity, the butt boy of Rupert Murdoch,” Penn said, “We know something more. We know their end is near.” I guess they applauded the “butt boy” comment too. That Penn is such a smoothie; I bet Barry Obama is going to start taking speech lessons from him. VIA LA REVOLUCION, VIVA!
Your messenger found this guy thought provoking: “We resent the rich and end up sometimes resenting their achieved values. Such envy is counterproductive. Or we resent the rich and everything that we associate with these “elitist bastards”.” I like the guy, besides he gives crap to people like: “There are French theorists such as Pierre Bourdieu, and some British Marxist sociologists, who try to find grand philosophical justifications for treating anything that the rich can do or seem to enjoy as nothing but a social marker with no intrinsic value.” Class warfare is like totally stupid for American ‘Progressives’, and socialist presidential candidates too. Ouch – alot of thinkin here ya know!
Portrait of a philosopher as an old prat: “Such as the inherent sanctity of human life. Killing a severely defective infant,
he believes, is not the moral equivalent of killing a person. In fact, it may not be immoral at all. On the other hand, he would like to extend certain defining features of human society, such as the principle of equality, to “non-human animals”, to confer on them a kind of citizenship replete with basic rights. It is only a supremacist speciesism, in his view, that denies animals protection from the pain and suffering, and industrialised execution, we inflict on them.” Singer, the author of Animal Liberation, and professor of bioethics at Princeton University’s Centre for Human Values and “one of the world’s most prominent public intellectuals” ooo, ahh, I am so impressed! How much would it cost for him to keep the fruit of his intellect private? He complained that: “Of course it’s annoying and frustrating when people come out with silly things like some of the more naive forms of moral relativism…” No kidding professor asshat! How about we start with equating infanticide to putting too many hogs in a pen? Look I am just saying…
Your messenger can explain this: “Why, in fact, are there so few women in the high echelons of academic math and in the physical sciences?” Every hillbilly knows why women can’t be engineers, its because their whole lives they have been told that six inches is a foot! Don’t get mad at me, I am just the messenger.
Somethings are just well true!: If white people could draft friends the way that the NFL drafts prospects it would go like this: black friends, gay friends, and then all other minorities would be drafted based on need and rarity to the region. Stuff White People Like is really funny folks. Its Barry’s grandmother’s favorite site! She being a typical white person and all, ya know?
“I think what we did in the ’90s was beneficial in a strategic way and led to a period where, at times, there were no attacks being made, no suicide bombings and no deaths,” she noted. What? No bombings or deaths for like 5 minutes? Was this before or after the hot LZ insertion in Bosnia? Your messenger is beginning to believe that truth and reality with Senators Clinton and Obama is fungible!
Look, don’t blame the messenger; I just read the papers folks!: “Despite the fact that my belly is growing with a new life inside me, I am stable and confident being the man that I am.” “How does it feel to be a pregnant man? Incredible,” he says…”
Your humble messenger’s quote of the day.
President Nixon once observed that Americans often make the mistake of thinking that conflict in the world is the result of misunderstanding rather than difference of belief.

Saturday Night Rock: The Raconteurs
Video from the Raconteurs new album, which was released this week direct by the band, following in the footsteps of NIN and Radiohead late last year and early this year.
ok, so has anybody checked out the pictures we have uploaded to this blog?
Taking a page from E’s book, the Beast decided to plumb the depths of the thirty-one-plus pages of images uploaded to this blog. Here is a random sampling(but heavy on Dave’s girly shots),
To quote the German Philosopher Artie Shaw: Veeeeery interesting…. Can you match the contributor to the picture?

Still more lunacy from Trinity United Church of Christ
In the most thorough and frightening thesis on a possible President Obama foreign policy that I have seen to date, Conclubs own PG outlined the people that Obama counts on among his advisors and the implications of his (imminent?) presidency.
As the campaign continues, I predict that bloggers and media will unearth a massive amount of information that lends credence to PG’s thoughtful post. And here is just another example. This is from the pastors notes from a Trinity bulletin last year. In it, Wright proclaims that the Israelies worked on an “ethnic bomb that kills Blacks and Arabs” [sic].

Aside from the “ethnic bomb” moonbattery, there is so much that is wrong with this bulletin. PG discussed the anti-Israel stance of Wright and possibly Obama in this way:
It is important to note that these Marxist-socialist views have influenced Senator Obama’s outlook. To believe they have not stretches credulity. He has a close twenty year association with Jeremiah Wright Junior whose church is based on Black Liberation Theology. Reverend Wright has an interesting take on Israel too…
The utter contempt of history by Wright defies all credulity. The idea that “Mary delivered her beautiful Palestinian baby” is laughable considering there were no such things as Palestinians until after WWI. The idea that the Jordan River is polluted solely by the activities of the Israelies is humorous when you consider the country of Jordan shares the river as both a water source and border. One would also have to have a herculian imagination to believe that Libya’s support of Nelson Mandela earned it a designation as a terrorist state. Forget about those airliners exploding in mid air, it was because we loved the Apartheid state so much that we put Libya on a terror list. The icing on the cake is that it was “an honor” to be designated as a rogue terror state. An honor! Never forget that this is the spiritual advisor to the person who has a better than even chance of being our next President!
Historical Anecdote of the Day
Mullah Mohammad Omar is the former ruler of Afghanistan and was the founder (along with 30 others) of what became known as the Taliban. He is reputed to be a relative of Osama bin Laden by marriage, lost an eye fighting the Russians, is very reclusive, and is still at large plotting the return of Taliban to power in Afghanistan.

Mulah Omar (Left) donning cloak of Mohammed
In 1996, as Taliban fervor increased, Omar accepted the title of “Amirul Momineen,” or “commander of the faithful,” in an emotional meeting in Kandahar where he appeared on a balcony above thousands of cheering Taliban, wrapping himself in a cloak said to belong to the Prophet Mohammad. The cloak had not been removed from its Kandahar shrine in 60 years, and had never been worn before. Omar is the first Muslim since the Fourth Caliph, a nephew of Prophet Mohammad, to publicly accept the Amirul title, a ranking in Islam nearly second to the Prophet.
The Infidel Babe(s) of the Day
The Conclub unposted: a treasure-trove we will never see. . . or will we?
In the last year, conclub has amassed quite a library of unposted contributions in the draft queue. Most of these drafts come from the scattered minds of DFV (11 unposted items) and Dave (15 unposted items!). Here and there are a smattering of things from the Beast, Wes, PG or Andre. Just playing amateur psychologist here, these unposted items give us a unique glimpse into the organizational habits of DFV and Dave. I thought it would be a great idea to expose these items and add a little comment of my own about their unposted significance.
Dave has a nice collection of Infidel Babes of the Day. Eight of his 15 drafts to be exact. I suspect he is using the draft queue as storage which isn’t such a bad idea. Perhaps someday he will let the viewing public see fresh faces like these two beatuies:
We can only hope.
Dave also has an interesting piece about lugging his three lovely daughters to the gun shop for a look at some Russian made SKS’s. In it he quips, “now I am sure that the local house of carnage for sale is usually not frequented by a troop of pretty little children, and certainly not in force. But I had to go and see the battle rifles for $88.88 was true. And it was. Big crates full of them fresh from our old cold war enemy and undoubtedly a few of them responsible for the death of a Hitler henchman or two.”
Dave also has an assortment of historical anecdotes and quotes. An interesting read was about the leader of the Taliban. You’ll like it too, if Dave gets around to posting it:

The Idiocy of it all….
Will the government, and our liberal progressive friends, ever get it through their heads that we are neither serfs, slaves nor subjects but free and sovereign citizens?
This was shamelessly lifted from Instapundit…
FROM THE EXAMINER, an editorial on those half-cocked D.C. gun searches:
If the U.S. Supreme Court seemed on the verge of finding the D.C. government guilty of violating its citizens’ First Amendment rights, would the D.C. police be going door to door looking for printing presses to confiscate? Of course not. It would be unthinkable. Civil libertarians would be — to use an apt phrase (figuratively speaking) — up in arms. But when the civil liberty at issue is the right to bear those arms, as protected by the Second Amendment rather than the First, District officials seem determined to leave no gun unturned in. . . .
The program has drawn criticism not just from gun-rights lobbies such as the National Rifle Association but also from the National Black Police Association and the American Civil Liberties Union. No matter how much respect and support police officers deserve, there is still an intimidation factor involved any time an officer is on one’s doorstep, such that the “permission” may not seem as voluntary as police mean it to be. So where does this end? How long before Lanier sends police into selected neighborhoods — selected by whom and on what basis? — asking to search homes for marijuana, terrorist literature, evidence of intent to commit a crime, fireworks or Cuban cigars? Lanier is establishing a precedent that would have horrified the founders of this republic.

Dave’s Quote of the Day
“What a strange campaign. Hillary remembering events that didn’t happen, and Obama forgetting sermons he wish he hadn’t heard.” – blogger Hugh Hewitt
Hillary’s Close Call

Mrs. Clinton dodging bullets on a Bosnian tarmac
In case you didn’t know, we have just learned that the former first lady had a close call during a trip to Bosnia in the nineties. She “remembers landing under fire…we had to lower our heads and run for the cars…”. More alarming is the fact that not only was her life apparently in danger, but she had Chelsea with her as well. How brave and courageous for her to have put her life on the line in an active warzone to help bring peace to an oppressed people. Fortunately for her, a CBS report includes the footage of this traumatic and heroic action.
Thank goodness Hillary stands on that wall. We need her on that wall. God bless America.
Mrs. Clinton has now accused her critics of ’swiftboating’ her in regards to her claim of coming under fire by Serbian snipers. I can only assume that the term ’swiftboating’ is defined as ‘pointing out the truth in response to a Democratic candidates dubious claim’.
How Hillary Clinton remembers it:
If you thought that was ignorant…..

Recently conclub prodgial son Andre the Defiant posted a thread regarding so-called ”Flintstone Creationism,” the assertion by certain religious groups that man co-existed with the dinosaurs in apparent harmony. Well Dre you may have thought that was bad but have a look at this.
http://www.theflatearthsociety.org/
That’s right folks there are still people out there who are convinced that the earth is indeed flat and surrounded by a giant ice wall. The round earth you have learned about in school is just an elaborate conspiracy by the space agencies (NASA et al.) to hoard billions of dollars of taxpayer money. How this conspiracy came to be centuries before such agencies existed I could not tell you and why the “truism” of a flat earth would prevent mankind from being interested in space exploration I also cannot explain.
I still can’t help but think that this is an elaborate joke by the people who made the site but if that is the case it is far beyond Monty Python proportions. I had to restrain myself from registering on this site and asking quite a few questions which they either did not address or answered speciously (Yes I used a PG Warner word.) For example if the earth is flat and does not rotate how do you explain the Coriolis Effect. I know Andre Coriolis does not prove that the earth is round but it does prove that it rotates therefore it must be round. Or more simply I wonder if any of them has a DSL connection?
My favorite snippet from their FAQ section
What’s on the other side?”
A: This is unknown. Some believe it to be just rocks, others believe the Earth rests on the back of four elephants and a turtle.
Those have to be some big damn elephants!
Feel free to have a look at that site but try not to take it too seriously or your head will explode.

Those darn, pesky Tibetans

Buddhist monks march in Xiahe, Gansu Province on March 14, 2008. AFP
Now I do acknowledge that it does take a lot to stand up to a bunch of monks, but do we really need to reward the Chinese with the Olympics because of it? I know that the Olympics will go on no matter what and that a Carter type boycott accomplishes nothing, but couldn’t a few high profile snubs (like dignitaries skipping the opening ceremonies) designed to mortify and embarrass the Chinese be a good and peaceful way to send the “Butchers of Beijing” a message?
Earlier, on Friday, March 14, a Tibetan witness who joined the Lhasa protests reported as follows:
“Today when the Tibetans were demonstrating, many Tibetans were killed. We Tibetans had no weapons to fight back. When the Tibetans were gathered in front of the Jokhang [temple], the Chinese fired at us. I have personally seen more 100 Tibetans killed when the Chinese fired at the Tibetan crowd. It was the Chinese army who fired and that happened in Lhasa and I personally witnessed the tragedy. Many of those killed were young Tibetans, both boys and girls. …It started around 10 a.m. … Young kids, youths, male, female, and old, Tibetans of all ages were taken away to jail. The Tibetans who participated in the protests were from the whole Lhasa area. When I looked back all the Chinese shops were destroyed. I think not one Chinese shop is intact in the Barkhor area. All kinds of things were piled up on the main road and burned. Many vehicles were burned and destroyed. When I look right now, I can still see smoke. The Tibetans collected all the dead bodies in front of the Jokhang [temple] and offered prayers, and scarves. Those family members whose relatives were among those killed took their bodies away…
The ‘riots’ and protests have spread. Today the Chinese reported riots in Sichuan province and sympathy protests have appeared in Nepal and India as well.

Let my people go….

New York Times – March 25, 2008 (tomorrows paper as of this posting)
Mayor Kwame M. Kilpatrick was charged on Monday with misconduct in office, obstruction of justice, conspiracy to commit obstruction of justice and perjury, felonies that could end his political career and send him to prison for a lengthy term if he is convicted.
Among the eight felony counts against him, Mr. Kilpatrick is accused of authorizing the city of Detroit to settle an $8.4 million lawsuit with several former police officers “with the corrupt motive” of preventing the release of text messages which would have revealed that he had lied under oath in the case, the charging documents say.
New York Times – Feb. 25, 2008
Representative Rick Renzi, the Arizona Republican who was indicted last week by a federal grand jury on 35 corruption charges, issued a statement on Monday saying that he would not resign despite signals from Republican leaders in Congress that they would welcome his swift departure.
“I will not resign and take on the cloak of guilt because I am innocent,” Mr. Renzi declared in the statement. “My legal team of Reid Weingarten and Kelly Kramer will handle these legal issues while
I continue to serve my constituents.”
Anyone need a hint?
Meet Obama supporter and super delegate James Meeks
There are new questions being raised about Barack Obama’s association with another African-American minister and a political figure in Chicago. Meet state senator James Meeks, reverend of the South Side Baptist Church. Meeks also has direct ties to the Obama campaign. He is an Illinois super delegate pledged to Obama and certainly matches Jeremiah Wright for his vitriolic speeches. He has been criticized by the gay community for calling homosexuality “an evil sickness.” And at the same time, he has engaged in several high profile disputes with the mayor of Chicago, Richard Daley. This is an example of one such dispute.
The Conservative Flag Project
I love history. And I love flags, as well as their ability to instantly convey a message to those who view them. Every political movement should have a flag. There are several very identifiable flags for various ideological and other movements and even flags for the Democratic and Republican parties. But there is no flag that solely symbolizes the conservative movement in America.
I have often mused about whether it could or should adopt one of the many fine Revolutionary War flags, old historical flags not currently in use (Bonnie Blue flag or the Florida Patriot flag for example) or even invent one of its own. I’m not sure how this would be received by conservatives as a whole, but I believe it could provide a powerful rallying symbol similar to how flags have been used by other political, ideological and theological movements.
I envision the flag standing for the best principles of the conservative movement.

There are flags that are great examples of universally recognized symbols for various causes. They are highly successful symbols for well known political movements and provide a powerful and clear message just by their display on a bumper, in a rally, flying from a flagpole or displayed on a webpage. In many cases, a flag says a thousand words.
Dave’s Quote(s) of the Day – He is Risen Edition
Happy Resurrection Sunday!
Paul’s Summary of the Easter Story in 1 Corinthians 15:3-8.
(3) For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, (4) that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures,(5) and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. (6) Then he appeared to more than five hundred brothers at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have fallen asleep. (7) Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles. (8) Last of all, as to one untimely born, he appeared also to me.

“Our neglect of the Middle East Peace Process has spurred despair and fueled terrorism”
Barack Obama
My friend and Conclub contributor thompaine asked me to expand on certain concerns I had regarding Senator Obama’s outlook on Israel and the Middle East. Well my young friend will most assuredly learn that to ask me to expand is to invite a verbose reply at the minimum (mostly cutting and pasting and I had been working on something like this for awhile). In any event here is your messenger’s humble attempt to respond.
To understand Senator Obama’s view regarding Israel, and US interests in the Middle East as a whole, one would do themselves a favor by becoming familiar with Liberation Theology. A few good sources for doing that might start with its birth from mid-twentieth Catholic-Marxist thought, through the decades to one of its current branches – “Black” Liberation Theology. One could begin with the current Pope’s thoughts on it in the 1980’s, or Wikipedia if you must. If one has time Ron Rhodes has treatments on both the original Latin American Liberation Theology, and on the present form of “Black” Liberation Theology. There are those that might not agree with Ron’s religious views; but only a fool would argue with his scholarship. You may want to go to the advocates of this theology – Liberation Theology Resources (they even say Ron does good work.) Let me give you a quote from the father of Black Liberation Theology today in America…
Black theology refuses to accept a God who is not identified totally with the goals of the black community. If God is not for us and against white people, then he is a murderer, and we had better kill him. The task of black theology is to kill Gods who do not belong to the black community. . . . Black theology will accept only the love of God which participates in the destruction of the white enemy. What we need is the divine love as expressed in Black Power, which is the power of black people to destroy their oppressors here and now by any means at their disposal. Unless God is participating in this holy activity, we must reject his love.
It is important to note that these Marxist-socialist views have influenced Senator Obama’s outlook. To believe they have not stretches credulity. He has a close twenty year association with Jeremiah Wright Junior whose church is based on Black Liberation Theology. Reverend Wright has an interesting take on Israel too…
The Israelis have illegally occupied Palestinian territories for almost 40 years now. It took a divestment campaign to wake the business community up concerning the South Africa issue. Divestment has now hit the table again as a strategy to wake the business community up and to wake Americans up concerning the injustice and the racism under which the Palestinians have lived because of Zionism.
Obama has also blamed that “our neglect of the Middle East Peace Process has spurred despair and fueled terrorism”implicitly blaming Israel for terrorism and a sign that a President Obama would pressure Israel. Obama seems to ignore the roles that schools play in the Middle East in the teaching of hatred; the roles of mosques and Imams in stoking terrorism; the glorification of violence and martyrdom in the media; the role of jihad in the Koran.
The most telling facts associated with Obama’s intent regarding Israel relate to who his advisers are, and in one case have been. Those advisers are Samantha Power, Zbigniew Brzezinski, Susan Rice and Robert O. Malley. Those names are enough to scare any supporter of Israel. You throw in Jimmy Carter and James Baker with them, who have been mentioned before by Susan Rice, and you just might have the Israelis planning preemptive strikes for their survival. In reality I believe they already have. Read the rest of this entry »
Oh YEAH!
Thirteen days.
Admit it Beast, you know it will be good.
My Solemn Pledge
I do hereby avow and affirm, that I will not vote for Jeremiah Wright for president of these United States.
Neither will I vote for John Hagee, Pat Robertson, or my beloved (former) Pastor Ted.
It’s my first day off in three weeks, and I am trying to catch up with what’s going on outside my test lab, but the idea that the right wing is trying to nail Obama for some nonsense that his pastor said is actually amazing me:

The above image is from the Creationist Museum in Kentucky, illustrating how, just a few thousand years ago, our ancestors rode dinosaurs.
That’s their base.
Our political discourse should be better than this.
CA Surfer Whacked By 15 Foot Great White Shark Off Huntington Beach.
From Pacific Coast Shark News, March 7, 2008:
On March 7, 2008 Thomas Larkin was surfing with two friends. He recounted the following; “I was surfing a 6’6” Avisco (carbon fiber) Surf Prescriptions Bat Tail Quad. I paddled out at Dog Beach near Huntington Cliffs around 7:10 in the morning at a pretty full high tide.
<snip>
I was waiting for a set for about 5 minutes when I felt a jolt down on the tail of my board, immediately followed by violent bubble cascade, which sunk the board down about another 8 inches (see photograph). I didn’t really get what was going on as quickly as I should have, but as soon as it begun it had ended and I was apparently alone again. A wave popped up, I paddled into it but pearled because of the water in the nose of my board, I quickly got back on and paddled into the whitewater of the next wave and boogie boarded it to the beach where I emptied the board through the apparent bite mark.” The diameter of the bite suggests an adult White Shark in excess of 15 feet in length. Caution should be exercised when utilizing this location for your ocean water activities. Please report any shark sighting, encounter, or attack to the Shark Research Committee.
15 footer? He is one lucky sumbee!
THE BEAST ATTACK-ANALYSIS.
1. Setup: Dog Beach appears not to have any river mouths nearby and there was no mention of marine mammals in the area, so what the shark was doing there is anybody’s guess.
2. Attack Prompt: Mr. Larkin’s first mistake, however, was to surf alone.
I was meeting two friends there, Matt Donoghue and Craig Angel. The current was moving around a lot of water, and both of them were on longboards, so about 20 minutes into the surf I was tired of paddling over to them on my shortboard, and was surfing pretty much alone. There were two bodyboarders about 100 yards north of me, and I was almost due west of the ramp walkway. At about 8:00 AM, I caught my best wave of the session, and even though Matt and Craig had already gotten out, I wanted one more. I paddled back out and was sitting in the lineup alone, with the closest surfers about 200 yards south, and the bodyboarders were inside and north.
He mentions that two friends set up nearby but he allowed himself to drift away, and after they got out of the water he continued to surf. Big error: lone swimmers and surfers are much more prone to attack.
3. Attacker: Mr. Larkin received a solid hit to the rear of his board. Bite impressions suggest a very large White Shark at around 15 foot. This is what a shark of that size looks like (this fish was caught accidentally in a commercial net and the carcass donated to biologists for dissection):

Stats:
Weight: 3,500 pounds.
Development: Adolescent. Sexually mature.
Temperament: Typical teenager. Repeated observation suggests adolescent White Sharks are impetuous and tend to strike unknown targets more often than their calmer, larger brethren.
Range: Radio Tagging of Pacific Coast white sharks shows a seasonal migration. They hauntthe northern coast in the fall for the annual seal breeding season, head south in the winter to the Baha Shore, Hawaii and a very deep spot in the open ocean named “The Shark Cafe”, but nobody knows why. They return to coastal areas in the spring and migrate behind fish runs as far up as the Gulf of Alaska in summer. This Shark was most likely beginning its spring run, working its way up along the coast.
4. Attack Style: Mr. Larkin apparently never saw the shark. This is not unusual because the attack came from behind. White Sharks are ambush predators and choose to sneak up on their prey. It is quite likely that this fish had been stalking Mr. Larkin for a period of time before the attack, trying to decide if he was food or not.
The attack probably came across and just below the surface. Again typical for strikes on Surfers. It was undoubtedly a test-bite, meaning the fish mouthed the board to see if it was food. A full-speed feeding strike would have knocked board and surfer right out of the water. A mouth full of carbon-fiber seems to have convinced the shark that his prey was inedible, hence no repeat attack.
5. Conclusion: random, semi-predatory attack. Repeated encounters in the area likely due to the season, but probably not attacks. DO NOT SURF ALONE.
Is the CBS picture hazy for you too?
At first I thought that I needed a new television. It was subtle but very noticeable. The scores displayed at the top of the screen were all hazy. Then when I noticed it on the television downstairs, I thought it was probably the wind messing with the satellite. Then when I saw it at the bar, I wondered if it was the city I live in. Finally, when my brother-in-law asked me what the score to the Carolina game was tonight because his television was messed up, I was pissed! Not only does CBS suck at televising the tourney, but they can’t get the masses a good picture. Is it just Colorado?
A quote for today humbly offered.
Obama condemns such statements as wrong and divisive, then frames the next question: “There will no doubt be those for whom my statements of condemnation are not enough. Why associate myself with Reverend Wright in the first place, they may ask? Why not join another church?”
But that is not the question. The question is why didn’t he leave that church? Why didn’t he leave — why doesn’t he leave even today — a pastor who thundered not once but three times from the pulpit (on a DVD the church proudly sells) “God damn America”? Obama’s 5,000-word speech, fawned over as a great meditation on race, is little more than an elegantly crafted, brilliantly sophistic justification of that scandalous dereliction.
His defense rests on two central propositions: (a) moral equivalence, and (b) white guilt.
(a) Moral equivalence. Sure, says Obama, there’s Wright, but at the other “end of the spectrum” there’s Geraldine Ferraro, opponents of affirmative action and his own white grandmother, “who once confessed her fear of black men who passed by her on the street, and who on more than one occasion has uttered racial or ethnic stereotypes that made me cringe.” But did she shout them in a crowded theater to incite, enrage and poison others? Dave’s Quote of the Day
“You and I know and do not believe that life is so dear and peace so sweet as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery. If nothing is worth dying for, when did this begin? Should Moses have told the children of Israel to live in slavery under the pharaohs? Should Christ have refused the cross? Should the patriots of Concord Bridge have thrown down their guns and refused to fire the shot heard round the world?”
—Ronald Reagan (1964)
Obama Hemorrhage
Ordinarily it takes about 48-72 hours for any major political event to begin to see movement in the polls. Obama makes a speech on Tuesday – you won’t see the effects until Thursday or Friday.
But in this case, don’t hold your breath.
He didn’t do it. He didn’t explain how he could “transcend race” but sit in a pew for the much-vaunted twenty four years at a Black Liberationist church under Crazy Uncle Hate-Whitey.
But we all know why. Obama wanted a political future and he wanted it as a Black Guy. He has to hook into the main circuit on the State and Local level. Anybody seen HBO’s “The Wire”? So he sets up the usual symbiosis. Sharp, well-educated kid barters his props to the local tribal racial spoils system. He’s the right skin hue for the locals but he’s got the education that comes with privilege. He can run the rhythms of both the academic world and the preacher’s kid. it’ a winning combination. That’s power baby!
Only there’s a problem. The parachute that gets you safely to shangri-la needs to be cut loose once you hit the ground, lest it blow you into the trees, right? The Chi-town locals who pushed you to the fore won’t play to the rest of the nation – those racist yokels who dont listen to “God Damn America” with properly educated ears.
In the end, the Beast has always believed that a man deserves exactly the amount of slack he affords to others. Obama can go on TV and demand all kinds of leeway for himself and the racist rantings of Wright. But how much slack did he cut to Geraldine Ferraro (a feminist cannon much a-loose on the media decks lately)? as one commenter said recently on Democratic Underground:
“Oh god. Is this how it will go for the next four years? Every time you disagree with Obama you’ll be called a racist?”
No. Sorry.
The swing vote this year among the Dems is “The Angry White Guy”. He does not have a specific dog in this hunt. He’s not female. He’s not Black. He trended Obama till Obama showed himself hostile by proxy to his interests. He knows Hillary hates him too. So who is left?
Who indeed?
Obama is damaged goods now. He’s lost the luster. Al Sharpton and Jesse might as well set aside a seat for him at their weekly poker game. It’s over. His double digit lead in North Carolina has evaporated. There will be no cross-overs.
The Dem self-immolation proceeds apace.
CBS sucks at televising the tournament! Act 2
Last year at this time, DFV reminded us of what a poor job ‘See B-S’ does at televising the NCAA basketball tournament. Well, here we go again.
I just want to know why they cut away from a game only to go right to a game that is ready for the t.v. timeout? Some cat named Doug cut into DFV’s thread to tell us that “I am with you all. CBS Blows. They continue to show a 30 point KU-Portland game when my MSU-Temple game is a 10 point game. Makes no sense. I was at a bar but the other 2 broadcasts were Georgia-Xavier. Please give it to ABC-ESPN.
The man continues to keep us sports fans down. Where is Rev. Wright when you need him?
Obama: Excusing the Inexcusable
As the race and religion debate continues to swirl around him, Senator Barack Obama is having trouble keeping his story straight. His close relationship with his self-described spiritual advisor, Jeremiah Wright, has become a lightning rod for criticism and condemnation by people across the political spectrum. His association with the David Duke of the black religious community is causing Obama to attempt to excuse the inexcusable and justify the unjustifiable while contradicting himself in the process. Apparently I wasn’t the only one to notice
So it wasn’t just me who noticed the flip flopping and ‘contradicting’ (to put it nicely) from He who can do no wrong. I guess in all the gushing, swooning and tear wiping over the new Gettysburg address, many forgot to ask the most important question of all. What about the lying and deceiving?
Buried in Eloquence, Obama Contradictions About Pastor
Buried in his eloquent, highly praised speech on America’s racial divide, Sen. Barack Obama contradicted more than a year of denials and spin from him and his staff about his knowledge of Rev. Jeremiah Wright’s controversial sermons.
Until yesterday, Obama said the only thing controversial he knew about Rev. Wright was his stand on issues relating to Africa, abortion and gay marriage.
“I don’t think my church is actually particularly controversial,” Obama said at a community meeting in Nelsonville, Ohio, earlier this month.
OK, this guy I’ll throw under the bus
Remember how I said one of the key things making me defend Wright was that he didn’t make himself bigger than his church? Didn’t try to use his position to help himself get power? Didn’t actively practice intolerance? Didn’t try to provoke people into blaming the world, but rather focused on how people could lift themselves up out of it?
Screw James Meeks and his “selfless” community service. I know a Clay Davis when I see one. And as Sen. Davis would say, “sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeit” (I highly recommend that clip). Obama, buddy, you’re in it waist deep, and I’d be damn surprised if that speech can help you out of this one. I wish you the best of luck.
More Various Reactions to Wright, Obama and Obama’s Speech
On Sept. 15, 2001, Rev. Wright was wrong. His words failed to connect with the pastoral needs of a nation in mourning.
Throughout his career, however, Rev. Wright has been “right” more often than not. He has followed in the traditions of Hebrew Testament prophets, challenging his nation to live up to its own creeds of justice and opportunity for all – including African Americans, other minorities, and the poor.
To sit in a pew is not necessarily assent to a message preached on a particular day. Being a church member is not some sort of mindless cult, where individuals believe every word preached. Rather, being a church member means being part of a community of faith—a gathered people, always diverse and sometimes at odds, who constitute Christ’s body in the world.
But the attack on Rev. Wright reveals something beyond ignorance of basic dynamics of Christian community. It demonstrates the level of misunderstanding that still divides white and black Christians in the United States. Many white people find the traditions of African-American preaching offensive, especially when it comes to politics.
I read the various posts here on “The Corner,” mostly pretty ho-hum or critical about Obama’s speech. Then I figured I’d better read the text (I tried to find a video of it, but couldn’t). I’ve just finished. Has any other major American politician ever made a speech on race that comes even close to this one? As far as I’m concerned, it is just plain flat out brilliant — rhetorically, but also in capturing a lot of nuance about race in America. It is so far above the standard we’re used to from our pols…. But you know me. Starry-eyed Obama groupie.
The kind of white resentment Obama is talking about here has been a problem for the Democratic Party for decades now notwithstanding the fact that you rarely see the party nominating African-Americans to run in majority white constituencies. What Obama is showing us here is that precisely because he’s black, he’s able to acknowledge and validate these resentments in a way that would be very difficult for a white liberal politician.
Certainly, I would have liked to see him talk more than he did about what America has achieved over the past thirty years, rather than pivoting so quickly to how much remains to be done. This speech of all speeches could have done with a little more pure “God bless America” chest-thumping, and a little less of what Andrew Ferguson has memorably described as the Obama style of “optimistic despair,” in which “America is a fetid sewer whose most glorious days lie just ahead, thanks to the endless ranks of pathetic losers who make it a beacon of hope to all mankind.” But this is a conservative’s quibble about a liberal politician’s address; it’s my way of saying “I wish Barack Obama were a little less left-wing,” and it doesn’t detract from the speech’s overall impressiveness.
I fully concede that this is not necessarily the way that the speech will be received all over the country. Race is viewed very differently in different quarters and corners of the country. Even the mention of race and the intense focus on the subject will, to some, turn them off to Obama. In short, this speech very much could have (and indeed still could) backfire.
But I do not know another way Obama could have done it. This was a speech Obama had to give, because of the politics of the moment but also because of the fundamental nature of his candidacy. Rather than keep these clearly simmering issues of race at arm’s length in a way that I just don’t think would have worked, Obama took the risk and said what was in his heart. And I’m not sure what more you can ask from a leader.
DMX:
Wow, Barack! The nigga’s name is Barack. Barack? Nigga named Barack Obama. What the fuck, man?! Is he serious? That ain’t his fuckin’ name. Ima tell this nigga when I see him, “Stop that bullshit. Stop that bullshit” [laughs] “That ain’t your fuckin’ name.” Your momma ain’t name you no damn Barack.
UPDATE: Missed one:
I have never felt more convinced that this man’s candidacy – not this man, his candidacy – and what he can bring us to achieve – is an historic opportunity. This was a testing; and he did not merely pass it by uttering safe bromides. He addressed the intimate, painful love he has for an imperfect and sometimes embittered man. And how that love enables him to see that man’s faults and pain as well as his promise. This is what my faith is about. It is what the Gospels are about. This is a candidate who does not merely speak as a Christian. He acts like a Christian.
Bill Clinton once said that everything bad in America can be rectified by what is good in America. He was right – and Obama takes that to a new level. And does it with the deepest darkest wound in this country’s history.
Dave’s Quote of the Day
From 78 months after 9-11
“MSM is full of five-year anniversary stories dating to the invasion of Iraq, and the Washington Post’s is typical in opposing the good news connected with the surge to the “tourniquet” school of retreatists among Democrats who can’t seem to embrace victory even as it unfolds before them.
It has been 78 months since radical jihadism struck America. We have not been struck since at home, and two countries which menaced the U.S. have had their regimes changed and the long, very difficult work of reconstructing them begun. Syria is out of Lebanon, Libya is disarmed, and Hezbollah badly smashed though Israel did not triumph in 2006.
The point is that it isn’t the fifth anniversary of the war, but the anniversary of the start of a central battle in a wider war, one that is going on around the world and which will continue for a very long time.” – Hugh Hewitt
Turning minds of mush into good little liberals
Step #1: “Examine and come to terms with your own personal prejudices.”Feminist scholar Peggy McIntosh had no idea she was a bigot until she was forced to take an honest look at herself. In school, she received “no training in seeing [herself] as an oppressor, as an unfairly advantaged person, or as a participant in a damaged culture.” The diversity training team knows that you are probably guilty of similar charges, so before the training begins, you must first recognize yourself as the “participant in a damaged culture” that you truly are.
A few years ago I authored The Institutionalsim of Liberalism which also addressed many of these same issues and official attempts at indoctrination on college campuses.
It is no exaggeration to state that college campuses exist in their own strange little world where right is wrong, perversity is praised, socialism is promoted, immorality celebrated, dissent stifled, traditional values mocked, Christianity ridiculed, patriotism abhorred and the foundations of our culture and society dismantled. It is sometimes subtle and sometimes blatant but the drumbeat of this philosophy is constant, pervasive and ever present.
Do we have any other scumbags who want to be the governor of New York?
Covering politics over the last couple of weeks has been more like writing for the tabloids. We’ve had accusations of ‘racial overtones’ in Hillary’s 3 a.m. commercial, Spitzer and the hooker, Geraldine as the unapolegetic ‘racist’, Obama’s “I hate Whitey” pastor, Obama lying and throwing Grandma under the bus and now the blind governor of New York chasing Olympic ’skirt’ around the desk. You never know what fresh gifts the blogging gods will deliver unto you every morning. And we shall offer our thanks in the form of incense, diatribe and thousands of words until the gods honor us once again with gifts of gaffe and gossip.

It appears that Paterson may have had a ’sex for job’ type situation with gold medal Olympian Diane Powers.
Dixon, 43, said Paterson, 53, was “mostly responsible” for getting her a badly needed job earlier this month with the city Department of Education in Crown Heights’ District 17….
….Paterson, a Democrat who was sworn in on Monday, admitted yesterday to having had several extramarital affairs, but contended they all ended years ago. He was informed by The Post in the morning that at least one news organization had been notified he had recently been involved with a woman from Brooklyn.
Paterson denied the claim.
But a few hours later, Dixon called The Post to say she had received a message from Paterson inquiring about whether she was talking to the press.

Various Reactions to Obama, Wright and Race
“[Barack] Obama says Rev. [Jeremiah] Wright is no longer among his campaign’s spiritual advisers.’ Obama should not be asked which of Rev. Wright’s outrageous statements he disagrees with, but rather which ones he does agree with. That Obama remains a member in good standing of Trinity United Church of Christ indicates that he prefers the company of many people who have demonstrated that they believe what their pastor has said.” —Cal Thomas
“We don’t need a President of the United States who got to the White House by talking one way, voting a very different way in the Senate, and who for 20 years followed a man whose words and deeds contradict [Barack] Obama’s carefully crafted election year image.” —Thomas Sowell
“All you really need to know about Barack Hussein Obama is this: Louis Farrakhan really, really, really wants him to be president.” —Don Feder
“[It was] best speech ever given on race in this country… I think this is the kind of speech I think first graders should see, people in the last year of college should see before they
go out in the world. This should be, to me, an American tract.” —MSNBC’s
Chris Matthews
“Could Obama really have been unaware for all these years that his spiritual mentor follows a racially adversarial theology, one that demands of God that he be ‘for us and against white people’ and that he participate ‘in the destruction of the white enemy’? It doesn’t exactly sound like the sort of change we can believe in.” —James Taranto
“The Obama campaign, if not necessarily the man himself, seems determined to make tough questioning of the man and his qualifications off-limits. Mild, general criticism is OK, barely, but pressing too hard with the wrong questions is taken for racism, bigotry, fanaticism, zealotry and other forms of treachery. Once upon a time, presidential candidates labored mightily to find a log-cabin birthplace in their past, but some Democrats think they’ve come up with a candidate born in a manger.” —Wesley Pruden
“Barack, I’m going to help you out here. If you’re going to try the lying routine, you’re going to have to get better at it, because the standard for great liars has already been sustained: Bill Clinton owns it, and you’re not in his league.” —Rush Limbaugh
“Barack Obama’s story that he never once heard his preacher trash whites and America in hundreds of sermons sounds like Bill Clinton claiming he never inhaled while smoking dope. The mushrooming church scandal has taken the shine off the golden boy of politics, a two-decade regular at ‘unashamedly black’ Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago. With his phony defense, the Democrat front-runner has exposed himself as both a typical Beltway spinmeister and a hypocrite. From the start of his presidential campaign, Obama has positioned himself as a straight shooter and a uniter—the very antidote to the sinister Clintonian politics of the past… ‘You know what I’m saying is true,’ he reassured voters. Yet his denial over Rev. Jeremiah Wright’s vitriol does not ring true. He’s suddenly shocked—shocked!—that his black nationalist church would spew anti-American venom. ‘I did not hear such incendiary language myself, personally,’ he insisted, ‘either in conversations with him or when I was in the pew.’ Back in February 2007,however, Obama knew Wright might be a political liability. His chief campaign strategist, David Axelrod, was so worried about his provocative statements that he urged Obama to withdraw a request that Wright deliver an invocation at his presidential campaign kickoff. Reluctantly, Obama ‘uninvited’ his long-time friend and mentor, according to Wright’s own account at the time, telling him ‘it’s best for you not to be out there in public.’…Here’s another whopper Obama tells concerning Wright: ‘He hasn’t been my political adviser, he’s been my pastor.’ Yet it turns out Wright quietly had a formal role in Obama’s campaign, and was only pushed out last week as a member of his spiritual advisory committee when the tapes hit the airwaves. Spinning harder, Obama claimed Wright’s remarks are not ‘reflective of the church.’ Yet the videos clearly show fellow members whooping and thumping in their applause of Wright’s hateful rants. These weren’t just a smattering of amens and hallelujahs. They were standing ovations. Point is, these are the folks with whom the Obamas worship and socialize. Yet we’re expected to believe Obama never heard the same incendiary remarks from them, either? His plea of ignorance doesn’t wash.” —Investor’s Business Daily
Ain’t that the truth
So What Did You Think Of Obama’s Speech?
The MSM is raving, of course. The Beast caught snippets of it after work and his impression was that – apart from the typical fine oratory (a bit cold, but perhaps that’s part of Obama’s charm), there was no real explanation of how Obama could
1. Sit in that pew for 24 years and never hear a single objectionable thing out of Wright’s mouth, as he said last week.
2. Or now admit that yes, he had heard lots of “Controversial Statements” that might seem bad if listened to with an “Untrained ear” (whatever that means – how trained do your ears have to be to understand “God Damn America”?).
3. But it’s really his Grandmother’s fault because black men on the street scare her which is supposed be equal to Wright’s opinion that White Men created AIDS and Cocaine to bring down the Black Man.
4. But the answer is more Liberalism and raiding the coffers of the rich.
5. So shut UP already!
According to Juan Williams, Obama came to Chicago politics as a bi-racial kid raised at a prep school in Hawaii. He joined Wright’s church to establish “props” with the black community and hook into the political scene – and it worked. The kookier elements of Wright’s belief set probably sailed right over Obama’s head – it is unlikely he shared in that view because his association with Wright and his church was more about access to the community and constituency. But he can’t say that. So he kinda danced around the issue today and hoped that it was enough.
Maybe it will be.

But maybe not.
Tenth Circuit: Nacchio Gets New Trial
As E the Wise and I had previously revealed here on Conclub, Joe Nacchio’s trial was another example of a politicized prosecution and the bigotry of the masses. Now, the Court of Appeals has thrown out the conviction and ordered a new trial. If Nacchio is as stupid as he was at his last trial, he will again hire Herb Stern to defend him. Stern will again do a piss poor job, and Nacchio will again be convicted. If he’s smart, he’ll hire an expert criminal defense lawyer (rather than a corporate specialist like Stern).
Supreme Court Appears Ready to Affirm Second Amendment
The US Supreme Court seemed sympathetic today to arguments that the 2nd Amendment protects a personal right to firearms.
I’ve always believed that this is clearly the correct judgement, but also that the whole controversy could have been avoided had the Founders correctly punctuated the Amendment.
It reads: “A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.”
The first and last commas are superfluous. A comma would be necessary in these spots only if it were seperating two independent clauses, which it is not. In the first instance, it is seperating two dependent clauses. In the latter, it is seperating an independent from a dependent clause.
Correctly punctuated, the sentence becomes clearer. The first clause (“A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, …”) is merely explanatory, and thus the weight of the law is entirely on the second clause (“… the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.”
More on Spitzer’s garden tool
From TMZ.com:
Spitzer Girl’s “Wild” 18th B-Day Caught on Vid!
Before she sold herself to Eliot Spitzer, TMZ has learned that Ashley Alexandra Dupre gave herself up to the “Girls Gone Wild” cams for her 18th birthday — and spent an entire week aboard the “GGW” bus.
Sources tell TMZ that “GGW” has “a week’s worth” of video of Ashley celebrating her 18th birthday, which she did on the big bus. We’re told that “GGW” plans on releasing an Ashley Dupre-specific video “shortly.”
Story developing …
And probably, and unfortunately, Conclub will continue to follow the former plaything of Democratic Gov. Spitzer wherever she may rear her long nose…. They were showing clips of her ‘at her best’ on the news this evening so the youtube video should be arriving shortly. The twenty four hour news cycle can create or destroy one in a moment, and elevate even the skankiest amongst us to starlet status in the twinkling of an eye.
Meanwhile, the Chinese are shooting down Tibetans in the streets like dogs while the US continues to fund the Red Chinese with your ‘mart’ dollars and nobody cares and … ah, um, well…ah forget it, never mind. Look there’s a hooker!

Obama on the good Reverand – Trying to keep his story straight

“The statements that Rev. Wright made that are the cause of this controversy were not statements I personally heard him preach while I sat in the pews of Trinity or heard him utter in private conversation. When these statements first came to my attention, it was at the beginning of my presidential campaign. I made it clear at the time that I strongly condemned his comments. But because Rev. Wright was on the verge of retirement, and because of my strong links to the Trinity faith community, where I married my wife and where my daughters were baptized, I did not think it appropriate to leave the church.” – Barack Obama 03-14-08
Did I know him to be an occasionally fierce critic of American domestic and foreign policy? Of course. Did I ever hear him make remarks that could be considered controversial while I sat in church? Yes. Did I strongly disagree with many of his political views? Absolutely – just as I’m sure many of you have heard remarks from your pastors, priests, or rabbis with which you strongly disagreed. – Barack Obama 03-18-08
Will the real Barack please stand up? Which is it? You can’t have it both ways. And will the press be as observant as Conclub’s resident sage? I demand answers and the truth. By the way, it would appear that Mr. Obama is woefully uniformed on what actually comes forth from the average pastor, priest or rabbi. If anyone has actually watched the various clips of the good Reverand at his best it is amazing that Barry could stand ten minutes of that, let alone twenty three years worth.

The Secret Is Barack Obama
Ok, first off Obama is a secret? Since when? Is this something like the DaVinci Code – the secret is Obama’s really the Secular Christ? They sure talk him up like that in this video. Talk about the politics of fear…vote for Obama or be damned for all eternity!
We’re supposed to believe (via the voice-over) that this little girl pushing her dolly in the walker worries about the economy sliding into recession? What is she – four? And haven’t we seen these kids before?

Yay! Tell us where he is that we might go and worship!
“Time of Great despair” my butt. Maybe for the deadlocked Dems, but the Beast is having a blast.
And the comments on the video are hilarious – these morons actually buy this crap:
Those kids will feel very proud of themselves in in the next decade. (They’ll all be dead in the next decade because Obama’s going to lose – isn’t that the point of the damn video?)
GREAT JOB KIDS (This may come as a shock, Mr All-Caps but the kids were only parroting the lines given to them by adults or are you so credulous you didn’t know that? Wait – don’t answer.)
This is exactly what we need! (Yeah Obama really needs more creepily-apocalyptic-yet-strangely-vapid-and-quasi-messianic propaganda on youtube. Don’t you feel sticky yet?)
