Predictions for Dana Pico’s Democratic Party’s Pennsylvania Primary

with 9 comments

Our friend Dana at Common Sense Political Thought resides in beautiful (it really is – check out his pictures of it) Jim Thorpe Pennsylvania. His heart might be in Kentucky or Carolina, but his legal residence is in Ben Franklin’s home state. As we all know tomorrow Dana will get to exercise that most sacred duty of a citizen in a free society – VOTE!

Mr. Pico has recently had a change of heart. I am not sure if was Jeromy Brown’s witty and engaging arguments over at Iowa Liberal, or our own Wes and Andre’s writings, that swayed him but Dana has gone and registered himself as a Democrat.

So in celebration of my favorite libertarian’s epiphany I would like to challenge every body to a prediction contest! So put your pundit credentials on the line, and pick the winner and their margin of victory.

I say the victory is seized by Bill’s honey. She slams over Michelle’s favorite genius Barry by at least 11 points!

When Dana goes back to registering as a Republican again do we get to vote about letting him back in?

(OH – BTW – Charlie and George, my two new fav media types, are going with a big Hillary win!)

  1. Matthews is ranting tonight about all the newly registered Dems in PA as if he’s never heard of “Operation Chaos”. The fact that Republicans could be re-registering to game the Dem primary appears to be Verboten in the MSM right now – they have opted for wishful thinking.

    Hillary +10

  2. As posted a couple of months ago, the change to Democrat is my birthday present to myself; I made teh switch solely to vote against Hillary Clinton. At my first opportunity after the primary, I shall reregister as a sensible Republican, and John McCain will have my vote in November.

The first political uty of every thinking American is to defeat the Clintons. As I have said many times before, if it were a choice between Hillary Clinton and Satan, I’d have to give the devil his due.

I don’t think that either Barack Hussein Obama or Hillary Clinton would make a decent president, but while Mr Obama might be a bad one, I don’t find him personally repugnant.

On Earth Day, I will have the privilege of voting against a Clinton for the third time, and I shall enjoy that very much!

    WOW I thought I couldn’t stand Hillary.

Oh yeah and Jim Thorpe is beautiful. I played paintball out there a few years back and I also have a customer up the road a piece in Hazelton that I go visit a couple of times a year. The Lehigh Valley is one of those truly picturesque corners of this wonderful country of ours.

  4. I think it will be Hillary, but closer. I’m going to say by 5. She needs a big win. Dana may be registering as a dem, but he’s ‘missing’ the point of Operation Chaos. It’s goal is to prolong the agony, not close it down. And for that Hillary needs not only a win, but a big one. But since I’ve officially endorsed Barry for the Democratic nomination (due solely on poll numbers in Ohio, Penn and Florida in the fall election) Dana is doing my boy a favor in attempting to put a nail in the Clinton coffin. It will be interesting to watch for sure, no matter what happens.

But I am not a part of “Operation Chaos” — which ought to be “Operation Kaos,” as in the enemy of Maxwell Smart and Control — but am voting very specifically against the lovely Mrs Clinton. I was very critical; of the people who tyhought it was a good idea to vote for Hillary Clinton in Texas and Ohio to prolonge the agony for the Democrats.

To use a movie metaphor I’ve used before: Dr No and Goldfinger and Ernst Stavro Blofeld died because they toyed around with James Bond rather than putting a bullet in his head when they had their chances. When it comes to the Clintons, you kill them (politically, of course) whenever you have the opportunity.

  7. And if Mrs. Clinton somehow manages to wiggle her way into the nomination and eventually into the white house, Dana will be forever heralded for his wisdom that we should have slayed the dragon in its lair before it emerged. The Clinton’s may be a lot of things, but they are not quitters. And that makes them dangerous. Don’t turn your back on a maddog, and perhaps the same can be said about a Rodham Clinton.

  8. E is right. Hillary +8. She nets 12 delegates, and Groundhog Day just keeps on going, and going, and going.

  9. It was a rain day in beautiful northeastern Pennsylvania, which meant that I could get away from the plant for ¾ hour during working hours, and I have, as promised, changed my registration back to the GOP, God’s Own Party!
