The Bob Barr Candidacy
And Michelle Malkin doesn’t think much of him.
Many readers have e-mailed asking what I think of former Ga. Rep. Bob Barr’s presidential candidacy…
Two words: Not much.
Bob Barr is less attractive and will garner far fewer votes than Ron Paul would have in the presidential race. The minor parties can only hope to play spoiler in our non-parliamentary system that we have in the U.S. One has to wonder who else will join the Ralph Naders, Bob Barrs and Chuck Baldwins (Constitution party) in this circus like atmosphere for the presidency.

He’s pro-life and pro-gun. He favors balanced budgets, limited goverment, a foreign policy that doesn’t involve nation building, and eliminating the department of Education. He was a manager of the Clinton impeachment trial, and was one of the loudest voices in the passage of DOMA. He wants the appointment of strict constructionist judges, wants the sixteenth amendment repealed (assuming it was legal in the first place), and would kick the U.N. off American soil. And, of course, most GOP stalwarts who pay attention know him by name.
But he’s no threat at all to John “Open Borders” McCain. I seriously urge you guys… pay no attention to him. Not even a little.
