She said it, I didn’t. I am just the messenger after all.
Those who are responsible for putting Democrats in the broken place we are in right now withregard to Barack Obama had better own it to the end. Leave those bumper stickers on and wearthose campaign pins until the bitter end folks because YOU OWN IT. And people are going to want to know whose to blame.
…Has anyone truly and fairly presented the problem Obama faces by continuously saying “a vote for John McCain is a vote for another 4 more years of George Bush” particularly when most of us don’t even know what a vote for Barack Obama would mean? Not to mention the fairly obvious fact that the whole reason McCain is able to run so strongly in 08 is specifically because everybody knows he is NOT George Bush.
A suggestion to Obama: when you are an unknown like yourself with no record to back up your flowery words, you might better your chances of people getting to know you by telling them
WHY THEY SHOULD VOTE FOR YOU—not why they shouldn’t vote for the other guy. Especially when that other guy John McCain has been in the public eye for years and enjoys a very well-cemented identity.
Just exactly what is David Axelrod’s reasoning as to how Obama — the candidate who “says” he represents change and “outsider politics”– will fare against the well-documented record of a maverick like McCain who has actually spent his entire career bucking the political system and truly enacted change? Will Obama change his campaign theme? Yikes. Is the Obama campaign strategy being unveiled when Obama states that “a vote for McCain is a vote for Bush”? Because if that is the Obama campaign’s idea of a “winning” strategy against John McCain, we are in serious trouble.
…To me, it’s the difference between buying cereal for the picture on the box rather than the ingredients on the nutritional label. Clinton supporters want to know what they are eating for breakfast–they don’t get swayed by the fancy packaging that often hides the sugar and artificial additives hiding inside. They check the label. They read the ingredients.

Read the whole thing, or remain snarky, drunk and angst-happy. It is all the same to me.

Can’t I do both?
I do so love the strategy espoused by these morons. Blame Obama because he is too appealing, blame the media because it didn’t frame things the way you wanted, blame the damn VOTERS for being so ignorant and stupid. Anything to avoid admitting to yourself that it was a terrible idea to run Hillary Clinton for President.
FWIW, Jersey Girl is a conservative. She voted for Bush in 2000. A substantial number of Hillary supporters are conservative females who are voting Hillary because of gender. Food for thought.
LOL, sure she is Wes, sure she is. I read her bio too. I have been familiar with her for awhile. A few questions for you Wes: First, who do you think she voted for in 2004? Second, who do you think she won’t be voting for here in 2008? Third, why do you think that is? Finally, do you think Obama needs to define himself?
The thing is Wes - you keep approaching these things from the standpoint of “Well that does not change how I view Obama”. Barry had you at hello after Edwards tanked Wes. You and your brethren are taken for granted by his campaign.
People like Mrs. Breitweiser are who Obama needs get on his side if he has any hope to get elected.
I do love you, but you are a pip Wes, yes a pip!
Every Republican voter is not a conservative. Not by a long shot.
She is a fellow New Jersian and I think when all is said and done Obama will take this state. McCain does have a decent shot though. We’re pretty fed up with our Democrat governor and McCain may lean just left enough. They’re Hillary crazy ’round these parts though. I’m not really sure why but they are. She would have cruised through here with a victory. A lot of the general election will come down to how hard Hillary pushes for Obama.
So your comment - People like Mrs. Breitweiser are who Obama needs get on his side if he has any hope to get elected - may be more true than you know PG.
Anyone who would even consider voting for Hillary Clinton is not, and probably never ever was, a conservative. It’s like the people who try to tell us that Arianna Huffington was once a conservative. After we are done rolling around on the carpet and brush the tears of laughter from our faces we just point out she was little more than a talking head California type Republican married to the gay, empty suit who once ran for public office who the press liked to put on TV because of her accent. I pretty much hater her before she “outed” herself as some sort of Progressive cheerleader. And frankly, the Left can have her. All she basically did was change party affiliation, big whoopee. Having an (R) after your name or voting for a Republican somewhere along the road doesn’t make you a conservative. Not by a long shot.
