Sunday At The Kid’s Fishing Derby
The Beast brought his daughter and friend fishing at the Farmington Rod&Gun Club Sunday. The weather was beautiful, sunny and hot. The club stocked over a thousand trout for the kiddies to catch. Unfortunately the little beasties swam right to the bottom and refused to open their yaps. But a good time (including prizes, raffles and a free lunch) was had by all.

Some three hundred parents and kids showed up.

If you didn’t get there early you had a rough time finding a spot.

Crossed lines were a way of life

Did the Beast mention over three hundred people packed in there?

Tons of people.

But not very many bites, as you can tell by the Beast Daughter’s expression.

PG wants to tell Beast his daughter and her fishing buddy are too cute for words. Also to tell the Beast as long as he has his kids around he has the world. Also PG wants the Beast to find the “Page Break”! LOL
Great pics Hairy One.
Uh oh the 3rd person thing is going around again
My father and the Dad from accross the street used to take me and my brothers along with the neighbor’s kids out to the local fishing derby at the opening of trout season. I don’t think we ever caught a blessed thing but it made for some great memories.
That face in the last picture is priceless. I can see why one would assassinate an innocent fish for that little girl.
Good stuff Beast! I love the little slice of Americana we get from Beast and Dave from time to time. I will try to mimic you guys more with family posts. The problem is that this Wise one is always at soccer or hoops games. I suppose I could bring a camera for a day at the fields some time soon. . . Memorial day tournaments are coming soon!
