Rolling Stone Magazine

March 20 issue

July 10 issue
Barack Obama graces the cover of Rolling Stone magazine for the second time in the campaign. After the first cover he got, I didn’t think it was possible to give him a more worshipful picture, but they have done so. In the first cover, they create the look of a mythical figure, no doubt the hero of their dreams. In the later cover, it’s as if Obama is too divine to even have words placed around him. Like it would be profane to sully a page containing his visage with normal language. Orthodox Jews won’t write the name “God,” believing it to be too sacred, instead writing “G-d.” How long will it be before the Rolling Stone’s of the world begin to write about the breathtaking virtues of Bar-ck Ob-ma?
BTW, for a hoot, go read the first several comments on this website.

The way his head is positioned it almost says Roll one like the classic Hendrix cover.
Oh never mind.

Wow…what a beatific soul! It’s obvious that this is a Man Who has given His life to others, Who has made immense sacrifices, Who has accomplished more in His 46 years than most men do in a lifetime. His pure heart cannot be sullied by greed or sin. How I wish to sit at His holy Feet and bask in His Love, His Wisdom, His Radiance!
Oh, wait…he’s just another sleazy Chicago politician. And a racist. And a Marxist. And an appeaser of evil. An all around scumbag.

Probably when they took the picture, the Rolling Stone staff was genuflecting around him, swooning and moaning, offering him expensive gifts and sexual favors, and he was going, “Oh gosh, guys, really, that’s not necessary…no, it’s too much…well, OK, if you insist.”

But actually Gregg, I think they brought him gold, frankenscense and myrrh. . . or as Jeff so cunningly alluded to. . . hydro, chronic, and schwag.

1st picture no flagpin, second picture flagpin, the ever changing Barack Hussein Obama Jr will probably be wearing two of them for the next cover. What a con job. Here’s three different explanations of why he didn’t wear one before he started wearing one to pretend he’s patriotic. I actually read both issues pictured. Sadly, the blatant kissing up and hero worship permeates the magazine from start to finish. Obama is superman in their eyes, and McCain is the old, evil Republican villain. I guess I might have expected just a tad more from people who actually consider themselves “journalists and reporters” but it was yellow journalism at it’s worst. Oh, and they hate Christians with a passion as well….

Hello!? Does anyone remember Rolling Stone’s publisher, Jann Wenner came out of the closet a few years ago?
Do you suppose that maybe he’s developing a taste for dark meat or some such? Obama’s not all that macho after all and this latest cover has him looking charmingly submissive.
Not that there’s anything wrong with that…
