Wheeee!!! Even MORE on ACORN!
Dave sited this:
ACORN has submitted millions of fraudulent voter registrations in key battleground states for the presidential election.
“Millions of fraudulent voter registrations”. MILLIONS. Really? I call bullshit.
VIA TPM:
As if you needed any more evidence that the Republican effort to tout voter fraud is less about legitimate claims and more about a political agenda, consider this sequence of events:
Last week, as we noted at the time, the New Mexico GOP had publicly claimed that 28 people voted fraudulently in the Democratic primary, held in June, for a local race.
Then this morning, the RNC sent out a press release announcing a 3pm conference call with reporters “on the recent developments in New Mexico regarding ACORN.”
But at 11am, ACORN — the community organizing group that Republicans have been trying lately to turn into a voter fraud boogeyman — held a conference call of its own, asserting that local election officials had confirmed that the 28 people in question, mostly low-income Latinos, were valid voters.
The RNC had a press conference today to crow about 28 (not 28 million… Twenty Eight) fradulent votes, and they all turned out to be valid. We have a word for that…

Tom was exaggerating a bit, it’s not millions, but hundreds of thousands. Shame on him. But still more shame on Obama and ACORN.

No it’s not a shame on Obama, it’s a shame on you. Your guys couldn’t even prove one out of twenty freaking eight.
You’re lying to win, and it’s really unbecoming.

Gee, we’re not the one committing massive fraud with taxpayers money. Nobodies lying here, Andre, take the blinders off and look around.

“You’re lying to win”
Is this a comedy site? You’re kidding right Andre? First off, ‘we’ aren’t going to win. Secondly, when your guys do win, and then your guys talk about how they will be the “most ethical” and “reform minded” in history, and how “change” is on the way, and then taxes go up, earmarks continue unabated, and the economy stays in the shitter, we’ll talk about who actually lied.
Spare me the righteous indignation please.

Remember how excited Andre was for the ‘first hundred days’ of the Pelosi Congress? That’s was funny then, and how’d that end up turning out? We can expect only more of the same with a rubber stamp congress and an Obama presidency. I wouldn’t be holding my breath for that ‘middle class’ tax cut. Hardy har har…

To echo Eric & Dave, check out this latest post (it’s long) from Neal Boortz.
Every voter should be handcuffed to a chair with his/her eyes forced open, Clockwork Orange-style, and made to read that out loud in front of witnesses before being allowed to pull the lever.

I remember that 100 Day thingy E. What has that congress done? Hell they had hundreds of hearing on the Bush administration and got squat. Even with the AG investigation this admin is going down as the cleanest in memory.
You do realize arguing about what ACORN did or didn’t do like you guys (right and left) have been doing is pointless politics (redundant I know).
Discussing whether an organization like ACORN is good and shoudd exist is the real issue. What I love is that the Democrats themselves do not realize how far left they are now. Andre’s ‘MINIONS’ just change what they call it and then the ‘narrative’ puts them square in the middle. It is really amazing.
The concept of wealth redistribution is now mainstream, middle of the road politically. This is scary, all B.S. aside. When you steal money from people who use it to create things with it and give to those who will buy beer, cigarettes and big screen TVs you have a problem. It is not even a moral problem.
It is a question of survival. If you let that trend continue to its natural conclusion you will have nation of people with no money to buy beer or cigarettes and whose TVs don’t work. Oh yeah, no infrastructure too.
Wes and Andre somehow think Obama has the power to make the filthy old tart that history has proven collectivism to be look like Angelina Jolie. And you know from a distance he just might, for awhile. By midnight the results of socialism punishing success will be seen on the old tarts face.
What truly amazes me is young people like Wes do not bat an eye when they declare capitalism to be inherently evil. They truly believe that government can through taxation achieve economic equality and prosperity. It is like the last two hundred years did not take place. They think the crap is new. Or that they have a sharp new angle to shoot on the problem.
We will survive, but make no mistake whoever wins, these next few years will be like the economy was given a big enema. Oil prices are the only bright spot.
I am going to move to North Georgia and stay with Jeff. I am gonna smoke marijuana and work for its medical legalization. I am also gonna sit on his porch and eat his sweet corn. I am gonna give the rest of you guys the bird. Jeff start building a ramp to your front door, I’ms a comin.

” the filthy old tart that history has proven collectivism”
My favorite PG metaphor. Good to see it’s alive and well. As for the last paragraph you can move into my place if you want but I’m on the 2nd floor and you’re sleeping on the fold out couch.

Yup, she passed what she said they were going to, and then Senate Republicans did what they are best at… obstructionism. All the more reason to get 60 Dem Senators.

Having a bill win a majority in the house means nothing. Then you whine about the Senate rules. The rules have been that way.
The really, really important 100 hour crap…
Wow! How did we survive without some of this! Too bad she did not make it 110 hours so we could get peace in our time passed. They held Iraq hearings though.
If Hugo invades Cuba who do we blame? I say Joe Biden and not Chavez!

She passed all six of the things she promised she would:
Increase minimum wage
Implement 9/11 Commission recommendations
Cut oil and gas tax breaks from the 2005 Energy Bill
Fund embryonic stem cell research
Allow Medicare to negotiate drug prices
Cut student loan rates
Some of them didn’t become law (see previous comment), and some did. But they did pass the House in her first 100 hours.
